And now a Public Service Announcement from your Fundraising Chair
You took the class/bought the kit, and made the necklace/earrings/bracelet. You love the technique, did a fantastic job, and are very proud. But... every time you put it on and try to wear it, it just doesn't work. It doesn't go with anything you wear. It just sits there, making you feel guilty. Someone should be enjoying this work of art!
Here's a solution. Donate it to the EGA Fundraising events! You immediately feel better, lighter, and more generous, and the EGA wins!
We are open to all of YOUR great ideas! Please think of something fun and exciting to donate to the Live Auction and Opportunity Baskets at Seminar 2017 in Asheville this August? Your fellow embroiderers will be so grateful. Everyone loves to come and bid on all the pretty things, and the more we have, the more everyone wins.
Please email with any ideas, or questions! Patty Smith-Gardner, EGA Fundraising

It’s time to renew your membership for the 2017-18 year.  Please go to the store at and pick your membership category.  If any of your contact information has changed—address, phone, email, etc.—please note that in the comments section or you can email it to me privately.  These memberships will be effective June 1 and will expire on May 31, 2018.

Please renew by May 15 at the latest.  There is quite a bit of paperwork involved and it needs to be at National on May 31, so I need some time to process it.  I will periodically post the names of those who renew as a reminder and also as a double-check for you.

There is some money available for anyone who might need some financial assistance. Please email me privately if you would like to apply for that.

By the way, sometimes when people have had small refunds due and told me to keep the money, I have put it in the scholarship fund. But most of that money is available due to donations from members for exactly that purpose.  I am not trying solicit donations here, but nothing has been said about this fund or donations for a while, so I just wanted to put it out there as a reminder.

Yes, we should have had a March newsletter.  I apologize that that did not happen, and that we have an April newsletter.  We will get back on track with June.
