Shining Needle Society:
I have written about this Yahoo group before as a place for online classes.  Not to advertise, however, I do want to highlight one class.  Over the years Carole Lake and Michael Boren have taught some lovely pieces together, and have taught one for their annual Stitch for a Cause. This year's is special because Michael plans to retire. While Carole will keep the StichPlay Designs business going, Michael is going to retire from teaching and writing needlework books and actually get to do some personal stitching, as well as enjoy a host of other interests, so this is your last shot from this great pair.

This year's Stitch for a Cause piece is in support of Doctor's Without Borders.  For each class registration and/or for every kit sold, Carole and Michael will donate $10 to DWB.  The piece is A Remembrance of Daphne Reborn and is a small elegant design  derived from elements of Michael's Daphne and Arabella pieces.  There are SEVEN colorways to pick from.

Sales pitch over : ).  You must register by Sept. 30, so if your interested is peaked, go to:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46618682/SNS_Remembrance2016.pdf for pictures and information.

P.S. - if you never saw Daphne Reborn, Arabella Reborn, or Ariadne - the Opera Girls, which are older classes, read on in the information because for a limited time these 3 will be available, along with Carole and Michael's books.  But you know the saying, for a limited time! The Opera Girls purchases will also result in donations to Doctors Without Borders.
